East Village Affordable Neighborhood Cooperative Program

The East Village ANCP project consists of the construction of two new buildings at 204 Avenue A and 535 East 12th Street in Manhattan’s East Village neighborhood. Both sites were City-owned since the mid 1970’s and entered the Tenant Interim Lease program in 2001. By 2008 the sites were deemed unsafe and existing tenants were relocated.

204 Avenue A will consist of a 7-story building with 10 units (8-1BR’s & 2-2BR’s). The property will also have 1,300 SF of retail space at grade. The building will participate in the City’s voluntary inclusionary housing program and maximize its buildable envelope. The project is an income-restricted cooperative with units available to households earning no more than 80% AMI.

535 East 12th Street will consist of a 6-story building with 11 units (1-0BR & 10 1BR’s). The project is an income-restricted rental with units available to households earning no more than 130% AMI.
